Double sessions, ice baths and preparation for Tuesday’s first match of the tour were all on the agenda for Town’s first team in Budapest.
The lads were up from breakfast at 8am, before heading into the gym for their warm-up at around 10am local time. The first of two outdoor sessions started at 10:30am, led by first team coaching staff Joey Barton, Steve Eyre, Clint Hill and Barry Nicholson, with David Lucas taking charge of the goalkeepers.
Lunch followed shortly after, with the players enjoying a couple of hours of rest in the afternoon before light snacks at 4pm. A quick session in the gym followed, before a tactical session back on the grass at the Globall Hotel’s excellent facilities.
After another excellent meal, the players took part in a special game of speed dating! Players were paired up, in a brilliant teambuilding exercise in which the group got to know each other better – with first team staff also taking part.
All focus now turns on the first game of the trip on Tuesday against Slovakian side STK Fluminense Samorin.
