The match officials for Saturday's Emirates FA Cup third round tie against Leicester City have been announced.
Simon Hooper is the referee for Fleetwood Town’s Emirates FA Cup third round match against former Premier League champions, Leicester City.
The Englishman has officiated in 24 matches this season, Saturday’s match being his first FA Cup match of the season. He has handed out 77 yellow cards, and three red cards.
Hooper’s last game involving Town was back in 2013 when the Cod Army travelled away to Barnet. That match finished 2-0 to the home side thanks to goals from Mark Byrne and Luke Gambin.
The referee’s last match in charge Leicester was in August 2014 in the Capital One Cup. The Foxes lost 1-0 to Shrewsbury Town at The King Power Stadium on the night.
Peter Kirkup and Lee Betts will be Hooper’s assistants on Saturday, with Ross Joyce being named as the fourth official.
