You may notice something different on Saturday at Highbury as the players walk out… a new song!
Club chairman Andy Pilley has made the decision to replace the current song – Dreams by Fleetwood Mac – to Together in Electric Dreams by Philip Oakley and Giorgio Moroder.
On the decision, Pilley said: “We have made the change ahead of Saturday’s first game as we believe a new era is starting at the club, with the walk-out music an important part of this.
“When I listen to the chorus in the song, they ring true with me, and I’m sure the supporters will agree.
“A big part of the football club’s cash injection is through my electricity business and that, for me, is what makes the song symbolic.
“We’re all excited for the upcoming season, and we hope our fans get behind Joey and the team, starting against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.”
