Fleetwood Town will travel to South Yorkshire on Saturday looking for their fifth consecutive win in the Sky Bet League One.

Goals from Ashley Hunter and Jordy Hiwula ensured Fleetwood had a successful Easter Monday, leaving John Sheridan’s side with five consecutive clean sheets. Meanwhile Rotherham United struggled in their trip to Charlton Athletic losing 3-1, with Richard Wood scoring a consolation goal for The Millers in the 77th-minute.

Town head coach John Sheridan said…

"I respect Rotherham, they're having a decent season so I go in there just thinking of Fleetwood and thinking of how we can affect the game and what we can do to carry on what we've been doing of late. If we can do that, we've got a good chance of getting something.

"They'll just want to win the game, they're at home. They've got the players in their team going forward and they score a lot of goals.

"We go there thinking that we're going to win the game, we're on good form and we've got a  bit of confidence."

Miller manager Paul Warne said…

"The lads are fourth in the table for a reason. I don't think we peaked during the unbeaten run. We lost on Monday at Charlton who are potentially the best team in the division on their day. We just haven't been right on song for the last few matches. We've got six games to put that right.

"We've got to move the ball quickly tomorrow because Fleetwood are brilliant out of possession. If we're to win, it's going to take a lot of patience and the support of the fans."

Form Guide

Fleetwood: W W W W D

The Cod Army have now been unbeaten for seven games in the Sky Bet League One, having won their last four games over Rochdale, Northampton Town, AFC Wimbledon and Bristol Rovers. They’ve conceded just twice in those seven matches.

Rotherham United: L D L W L

Rotherham’s last win came on 17th March 2018 in a 3-0 away win over Northampton, since then they have conceded six goals in their last three games.

We’ve Met Before

Of the five previous meetings between Fleetwood and Rotherham, both sides have won two games each and there has been one draw. Fleetwood’s biggest win was at the beginning of this season in which Conor McAleny scored two goals, getting Town’s Sky Bet League One season off to a great start.

One to Watch

David Ball is a name Fleetwood fans will be aware of. The 28-year old spent five years with the Cod Army, scoring over forty goals. The striker is now up front for Rotherham and so far, has scored eight goals and made two assists for the Millers.

Fancy a Flutter?

League partners Sky Bet have revealed their odds for Saturday’s game, making Rotherham United 4/6 favourites to gain the three points. Fleetwood are 19/5, while a draw is 13/5.

For Fleetwood to win 2-0 like they did back in August the odds are 28/1, and for McAleny to score another brace the odds are 25/1.

After five consecutive clean sheets, you can get odds of 9/2 for Fleetwood to make it six in a row.
