Brendan Malone will take charge of Fleetwood Town’s away fixture at Oxford United on Tuesday.

The Englishman has only refereed five games so far this season, with Tuesday being his second League One game.

Malone has handed out 14 yellow cards and has given out two red cards this campaign.

The last time he officiated a Fleetwood match was in April 2015, when Fleetwood travelled to Gillingham and won 1-0. Three yellows were handed to Fleetwood and the goal was scored by Gareth Evans. He marked his 100th appearance for the Cod Army by lifting the club four points off a play-off place.

Malone last was in charge of an Oxford United match in September 2016 in their home 1-0 victory over Rochdale, where two yellow cards were handed to Oxford and one to Rochdale.

He will be assisted by Ian Rathbone and Ravel Cheosiaua, with Andrew Hendley acting as fourth official and Tony Green as observer.
