3 April 2018

FTFC eSports started off in impeccable fashion on the opening day of the Virtual Pro Gaming season.

The Cod Army picked up all three points against Green Street eSports in a comfortable 4-0 win in VPG League Two North.

FTFC eSports opened the scoring just before the break when Harry 'Sinclair11x' Hayward headed the ball in the back of the net from Joshua 'WhiteGod24' Hicks' cross on the right. But it took until the 50th minute for FTFC to get their second of the match thanks to Ro 'ohhDciznZ' Mitchell's well worked goal.

FTFC cruised once the lead was doubled, and capitalised on Green Street's lack of pressure when ohhDciznZ whipped in a dangerous ball for player / manager Dan 'Hubaga' Masters to head home from close range.

The fourth goal came moments later from another ohhDciznZ assist, and this saw Sinclair11x double his goal tally with a tidy finish from six yards out.

The head coach spoke after the game and said: "I am very proud of my players, and they were fantastic from start to finish. It was really important we got off to winning ways in our first game."

Highlights of this match will be available on the official FTFC eSports YouTube page from 5pm on Tuesday 3rd April 2018.

It was a great start for FTFC eSports which sees them 2nd in the table on goal difference. The season continues on Tuesday night as FTFC face Nelson FC at 9pm BST.
