Loan watch: Sheron secured starting spot at Chester

Nick Haughton has proved his worth over the past couple of games for The Magpies but went off at half-time in their last match against Blyth Spartans. Goalkeeper Matty Urwin kept a clean sheet over the weekend against North Ferriby, but conceded in their 2-0 loss to the Spartans.

Elliot Osborne made his first league start for Morecambe on Tuesday, as he played a part in the sides 2-2 draw with Yeovil Town.

Defender Nathan Sheron played the full 90 minutes at Chester on Tuesday, as the side lost out to a last-minute goal at the Gateshead International Stadium.

Young duo Alex Reid and Akil Wright featured yet again for Wrexham as they played out a goalless draw against Hartlepool United at the Racecourse Ground. The Dragons now sit in sixth position in the National League.

Dion Charles also saw some action in the National League as he came off the bench in the 88th minute in the Shayman’s 3-0 win over Leyton Orient, leaving them in second place, just behind Sutton United.

Dan Mooney played the full 90 minutes in Bamber Bridge's 1-1 draw with Atherton Collieries on 11th September after making his Wales debut for the under 19s against Iceland.
