Fleetwood Town would like to wish Piotr Miekus all the best, following the completion of his internship with the club.

Piotr – a 24-year old Law graduate from Warsaw – has been assisting the club in the last five months working closely with Club Secretary & Legal Counsel Luis de Oleza, and Chief Executive Steve Curwood.

After graduating from the University of Warsaw, Piotr now studies at Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE) in Madrid, completing a Master in International Sports Law.

The Master in International Sports Law Madrid, is one of the leading sports law institutions worldwide, with fifteen editions and over 300 graduates from 39 different countries.

Piotr Miekus, said: “It has been and honour and privilege to spend last five months on the Fylde coast and I know that even when I leave a part of me will always stay with the Cod Army.

“I am still impressed with how big English football is. People outside the UK, particularly in Poland and Spain where I have been, are talking mainly about Premier League, but when you are coming here you can realize the important role that clubs like Fleetwood Town have in English football.”

Dev Kumar Parmar, Director and Professor at ISDE Madrid, added: "ISDE has been working closely for the last years with Fleetwood Town Football Club, and the relationship has been extremely fruitful.

“We hope to continue developing this relationship in the years to come with what is certainly one of the most progressive football clubs in England.”
