Uwe Rosler has hailed the signing of Conor McAleny as ‘fantastic for our football club’ after the attacker joined from Everton.
McAleny signed a three-year deal with the Cod Army and will link-up with Rosler for the second time in his career after a loan spell at Brentford in 2013.
The 24-year-old came through the ranks at Everton before gaining Football League experience with the likes of Brentford, Wigan and Oxford United where last season he fired ten goals in just 14 starts.
And Head Coach Rosler shared his delighted after the news was confirmed of the signing.
“He is very clear in what he wants to achieve and where he wants to go and I was very impressed with the clarity in his thinking,” said Rosler.
“He has very clear ideas about how his spell with us should go – in his way and the club's way.
“He had offers from the Championship, but he wanted to come to us – he committed to us like Kyle Dempsey and Harvey Rodgers.
“It’s fantastic for our football club that players and agents realise what we are about and what we can offer.
“We need to make sure we get him on the pitch as much as we can – we have the facilities and the staff to do this - and if we do we are confident he will score goals for us."
