With Fleetwood Town now back in pre-season training and their first friendly less than a week away, we look at the plan for a busy July.

Uwe Rosler’s side will meet back at Poolfoot Farm on Monday, having already been training for a fitness testing week on the 19th June.

Town’s training ground is the venue for our first fixture, before heading to Austria for a week-long training camp.

Fleetwood Town v Queen of the South: Friday 7th July, 3pm @ Poolfoot Farm

The Cod Army play their first friendly against Scottish Championship side Queen of the South on Friday.

Managed by former Everton defender Gary Naysmith, The Doonhamers will travel south to face Rosler’s side, with the game available to the public for free.

The match is non-ticket, and fans are welcome to attend the match for free.

Fleetwood Town v Karlsruher SC: Tuesday 11th July, 4pm (local time) @ SV Kopfgarten

In a first of two games in Austria, Town’s travelling party will face the German side who last season were relegated to the third tier in Germany.

This is the first pre-season trip under Rosler, who joined the club just three days before the start of last season.

Fleetwood Town v FK Jablonec: Saturday 15th July, 6pm (local time) @ FC Kossen

A top division side from Czech Republic, Town will end their pre-season tour of Austria with a tough match at their base in Kossen.

Jablonec finished just ten points away from qualifying for the Europa League, and had a strong season ending in eighth spot in Synot Liga.

Fleetwood Town v Bolton Wanderers: Saturday 22nd July, 3pm @ Highbury Stadium

Rivals from the top end of Sky Bet League One last season, Phil Parkinson’s men will travel to the Fylde Coast for Town’s first game at Highbury since the play-off draw with Bradford City in May.

Wanderers won both league matches last season, including a thrilling 4-2 win at Highbury.

Tickets go on sale on Monday 3rd July at 9am, with 2017/18 season ticket holders able to redeem their free pre-season match for this game.

Tranmere Rovers v Fleetwood Town: Tuesday 25th July, 7:30pm @ Prenton Park

A string of former Town players and staff will be in the Rovers dugout including former manager Micky Mellon.

Tranmere narrowly missed out on promotion to the EFL last season, but lost at Wembley in the play-off final to Forest Green Rovers.

Tickets for this match are available from Tranmere Rovers, with coach travel available from the club - this will be announced in due course when it will go on sale.

Fleetwood Town v Preston North End: Friday 28th July, 7:30pm @ Highbury Stadium

Town end their preparations for the new season with a home game against Lancashire rivals Preston North End.

North End had a great 2016/17 Sky Bet Championship season under manager Simon Grayson, who has since left the club for Sunderland.

Tickets go on sale on Monday 3rd July at 9am.
