Fleetwood Town continue their pre-season tour in Austria as they ready themselves for their game against Czech First League side FK Jablonec on Saturday.

Town performed bravely in their last pre-season game, which was a narrow 2-1 loss to Karlsruher SC earlier this week. Two early goal made the game hard for Town, and even though Devante Cole nodded us back into the game, it wasn’t enough to pull it back.

Our Czech Premier League opponents, Jablonec, are already six games into their pre-season training, with their first league game coming up in just over two weeks time.

Zdeněk Klucký’s side started their training off in the last week of June when they walked over Velké Hamry 10-0 away from home. Since then, they have gone on a six match winning streak, scoring 27 goals in that time.

TEAM NEWS

Town will be looking to field a strong side once again as Uwe Rosler reported after the midweek game that no injuries had been reported.

Klucký has been rotating most of his side throughout the pre-season but a few players seem to always have a spot as Matěj Hanousek, Nikola Janković, Jaroslav Zelený, Lukáš Masopust, Mirzad Mehanović, David Breda, Jakub Považanec and Ondřej Mihálik have played parts in all six of their games.

Jablonec are missing two of their side through injury as centre-back Marek Kysela and centre-midfielder Vojtěch Kubista are both out.

ONE TO WATCH

Czech-born, Jaroslav Diviš signed for FK Jablonec in January of this year and featured in eleven games at the back end of the 2016-17 campaign.

Diviš started his career with Czech second division side FC Vítkovice and in the two years he spent with them, he managed to score 10 goals in 29 appearances.

In July 2009, the now 31-year-old signed a two-year deal with Czech Premier League team Slovan Liberec. Diviš had a tough time here as he was unable to score in the 11 games he played.

In the 2010-11 season, Diviš was sent out on loan to FK Senica, who play in the Slovak Corgoň Liga. After the loan, he signed a permanent contract there keeping him there for three years. In those three years, he managed to gain over 100 appearances for the side, scoring 23 goals in that time.

Slovácko was his next move, and his time at the Czech First League side was a success as he found himself playing in most games as well as averaging just under seven goals a season from the midfield.

In January 2017, Jablonec acquired his services and he has performed well ever since. In this pre-season, he has scored three goals in four games.
