Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of Lewie Coyle on a season-long loan deal from Leeds United.
Coyle – a 21 year-old right back – is a graduate of Leeds’ successful academy and was their Under 21 captain before breaking into the first team.
Hull-born, the pacey defender featured for the Whites last season in the Sky Bet Championship, and will wear the number two shirt for the Cod Army.
Head coach, Uwe Rosler, said: "Lewie fits into the Fleetwood Town DNA. With that I mean the mentality, athleticism, game understanding and technique.
"Myself and Rob know Lewie really well from our time at Leeds. He is a very exciting player who has played in the Championship and Leeds trust us to develop their player. I'm sure Lewie will grow and show his attributes and get better with each game he plays."
