Fleetwood Town are over halfway through their training camp in Austria and the squad had a chance today to test their skills at a task that not many have faced before, white water rafting.
Burns kicked off his day in the usual fashion with some breakfast before heading down for a training session, whilst some of the other players focused on recovering from the Karlsruher game on Tuesday.
“A couple of the lads were on a recovery day, some that played a bit more in the game yesterday," said Burns.
“A few went for a bike ride that was a cool down sort of thing and the rest of us did a training session, a bit of football, shooting, crossing and finishing which was quite a fun session.
The squad then sorted out some lunch before heading out on a bonding activity, which was white water rafting.
“It was a good afternoon, the lads bonded really well, helped each other out sorting problems and stuff like that which was quite good to see.
“There was a lot of fighting going on inside the rafts and stuff, with the splashing and throwing each other in the water but it was good fun.
“Today was quite a nice day for everyone really, it was bit of change from kind of doing a double session every day.”
After the events of the day, Burns and the squad headed back to the hotel for their evening meal before turning in for the night.
