Day three of Wes Burn’s video diary from the Austria Tour is live and it reveals the players schedule from the day, the players reaction after the Karlsruher result and the now famous ‘Fleetwood ice bath.’
Burns started his day in normal fashion with breakfast but then went straight down to the training pitches to work on tactics for the first game of the tour.
“To start the day off, we had breakfast as usual,” said Burns.
“Then we went down to the training pitch and walked through some shape and set pieces so just to refresh the lads from last season, and to get the new boys involved so they know what’s going on in set pieces.
“Then we got in the river again, the ‘Fleetwood ice bath’ before coming up for a bit of pre-match.
“We then made our way to the game, which was about an hour away on the coach, which wasn’t too bad really, but we got there and there was a couple of Fleetwood Town fans there which was good to see.
“We cracked on with the game, obviously it didn’t go our way but that’s sometimes how football is.
“We’ve come back this evening, we had a recovery session, we got into the pool for some stretches and then went in the river again, just to get the ice bath feeling back into the legs for the recovery.”
The players then turned in for the night as they readied themselves for another training session in the morning.
