Town looking for first ever win over Bristol City on Saturday
Fleetwood Town will be looking for their first ever win over Bristol City when they face the Sky Bet Championship side in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round on Saturday.
The pair have only faced each other only twice before, and Uwe Rosler’s side will be looking to achieve their first win against Saturday’s opposition.
Town will be confident of a positive result as they are unbeaten in their last 11 games, whereas Bristol City have lost their last six consecutively.
The sides first meeting was an enthralling 3-3 draw at Highbury. The match saw the Cod’s battle back from 3-1 down to earn a point late-on after Stephen Dobbie grabbed an 89-minute equaliser. Josh Morris and Jamie Procter grabbed the other two goals for Town.
The return fixture in February of 2015 saw little Valentine cheer for the Cod Army as they went down 2-0 courtesy of goals from Matt Smith and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas. This ensured Bristol City returned to the top of the table in their promotion winning campaign back to the Sky Bet Championship.
