Fleetwood's Head Coach preview trip to Bristol City

Uwe Rosler says Fleetwood have a ‘great opportunity’ to create history and reach the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup for the first time.

Town will be out to continue their cup run that has seen them beat Southport and Shrewsbury Town consecutively, with the help of a replay on both occasions.

Rosler’s side are also unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions, whilst Bristol City have lost six straight games.

“I have always been a big admirer of the FA Cup and I have always taken it as serious as the league games,” Rosler says.

“The FA Cup is my competition. First of all for the love of the competition and also because of its prestige and the chance to make our club known throughout the United Kingdom.

“We are in the third round, and it is only the second time that the club has been there – we have a great opportunity.”

“I think we have a chance, we need to believe in ourselves and be brave and with one or two things. Maybe we can surprise them.”

Despite recent form, Rosler believes that the home side are very much the favourites prior to the game.

“You see the possibilities they have as a club, you see the league in which they play and the sort of signings that they are able to do.

“We are happy with what we are, we embrace it but we are improving and that is our culture, we are becoming more progressive year-by-year.”
