Head coach reacts after midfielder signs permanent contract

Uwe Rosler insists there’s ‘much more to come’ from George Glendon after the midfielder committed his long-term future to Fleetwood Town.

The Cod Army agreed an undisclosed fee with Manchester City for the 21-year-old, who has put pen-to-paper on an 18 month deal at Highbury Stadium with option for an extra year.

And Rosler is delighted with the deal, and the progress of the youngster who impressed in his 16 loan appearances this season.

“I’m very, very happy and looking forward to working with Glenno,” said Rosler.

“We are delighted to make the loan move permanent, it’s a big deal for Fleetwood Town.

“I think Glenno had been developed into a player who stood up to the challenge and rose on the challenge and showed what a good player he is.”

“There’s far more to come, there’s a lot of potential in him and we are excited to watch him develop.

“Our strategy is to sign players on loan, find out if they’re suiting us and we suit them, and going into partnership.”
