Head coach speaks to the media after away win

Uwe Rosler says to come away with all three points against MK Dons on Saturday was ‘fantastic’.

Rosler’s side stretched their unbeaten run to 16 matches in Sky Bet League One after Cian Bolger’s 61st minute header sealed all three points at stadium:mk.

Bolger powered home George Glendon’s corner, just minutes after Ashley Eastham had a header cleared off the line.

“We looked terrific on set pieces – we had three cleared off the line before we scored,” said Rosler.

“In general, I think we evened ourselves out on chances, and we won the game. In this league you have to stay in games, and we have special qualities from set pieces.

“It was a fantastic header, but I know Cian can do that. Ash Eastham had a bullet header cleared off the line – that’s a great weapon for us. It makes it difficult for the opposition if we have more weapons.”

Town’s head coach was quick to reflect on a big week for the club, after Tuesday’s win against Bradford sealed six points in four days.

“I think at the moment our whole camp is drained. We’re not as emotional as we were on Tuesday [against Bradford].

“It was a very tough week for us, playing against three top teams – I said before the game that MK Dons, with the squad and the quality of players they have and the experience, meant it was a massive game for us.”

“It’s been a hard week and sometimes for a young group of players – when you go through an emotional game like we did on Tuesday – it’s not just the 90 minutes but the emotions too.

“I was fearing today that we had a tough game away from home, but for us to come away with three points is fantastic.

“I think over the weekend the happiness and satisfaction will kick in.

“On Monday we go again.”
