Head coach speaks to the media ahead of match at Highbury

Uwe Rosler expects the fans to create another ‘fantastic atmosphere’ for Saturday’s Sky Bet League One game against Northampton Town at Highbury (3pm k/o).

Rosler’s side extended their unbeaten run to 16 matches after last Saturday’s 1-0 away win at MK Dons, courtesy of Cian Bolger’s fifth of the season.

Town are currently fourth in the table and only two points off second place Scunthorpe. A win this weekend could mean that Fleetwood could leapfrog Bolton and Scunthorpe into second position.

“I don’t look at the table, this run is fantastic but we have to focus only on our next game,” said Rosler.

“The atmosphere home and away has continued to get better and better, and we need that fantastic atmosphere again this weekend.

“The ground is small but can be intimidating and can be an advantage for our players and hopefully we can replicate that into Saturday afternoon as sometimes in the evening it is an easier task than in the day.”

Northampton come to Highbury having failed to win on the road under new manager Justin Edinburgh, whilst Rosler’s side have only lost once at home all season.

“They have had a change in manager and most of the time that will have an effect and they have been affected.

“They have really good players and have scored the most goals in the last few games.

“They are a threat home or away and we just need to be sure that we are not the first team that they pick up their first away three points under the new manager.”

“I never want to stop the fans dreaming, that is their right as supporters.

“We need to stay focused and believe that what we are doing can continue.

“There is a long way to go in the season but if we play to the best of our ability as I know we can do week in week out, who knows.”
