Town players in action over the weekend

Last weekend saw seven Fleetwood Town players in action out on loan.

Right-back Michael Duckworth left the club on the January Deadline Day to join Sky Bet League Two side Morecambe and made his debut on Saturday. Duckworth came on as a late substitute to help earn his side a 1-1 draw with league leaders Doncaster Rovers.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Matt Urwin made his debut for AFC Telford United in their 2-0 home defeat to Gloucester City. Nick Haughton came off the bench and won a penalty as Salford City smashed AFC Fylde 5-0 in National League North.

Two loanees faced each other at Sedgley Park as Elliot Osborne’s Stockport County side faced Kieran Dunbar and Stalybridge Celtic. It was to be Osborne who went home happy, after his side won 3-1 despite Dunbar scoring a first half opener for Celtic.

Akil Wright played the full 90 minutes for AFC Barrow as they progressed to the last eight of the FA Trophy after beating Kidderminster Harriers 1-0. Declan McManus started for Raith Rovers as they fell to a 3-0 defeat against Dundee United in the Scottish Championship.
