Irish defender wins fans award for performances in January
Cian Bolger has been voted the Fleetwood Town fans Player of the Month for January.
In a month where Town were unbeaten in all five league games, Bolger starred at the heart of the defence and also contributed at the other end – scoring twice against Bristol Rovers and Coventry City.
The Irishman won a tight poll with 34% of the votes ahead of Kyle Dempsey in second and Conor McLaughlin third.
The online poll which was run on the club’s official website, allowed fans to vote for all members of Uwe Rosler’s squad for their performances in January.
