Fleetwood Town travel to Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday in Sky Bet League One (3pm k/o) hoping to extend their unbeaten run to 16 games.

LAST TIME OUT

Town came from behind to beat play-off rivals Bradford City at Highbury on Tuesday night. Jordy Hiwula had given Bradford a first half lead, but goals from Devante Cole and Conor McLaughlin in the second half completed a superb comeback to win the match 2-1.

The three points stretched Town’s unbeaten run to 15 matches.

The Dons drew a blank in the North West as they were held to goalless draw at Bury. The away side had the better chances to win the game, but couldn’t beat a Bury side that recorded successive clean sheets for the first time since last April.

PREVIOUS MEETING

The two sides met at Highbury in September, where a Ryan Colclough hat trick downed the Cod Army 4-1.

Two Colclough goals and a Dean Bowditch penalty put the Dons 3-0 ahead, before Bobby Grant fired in a second half strike to give Town hope. Colclough scored another penalty in stoppage time to complete the scoring.

OPPOSITION VIEW

MK Dons boss Robbie Neilson gave his thoughts on Saturday’s clash in a press conference on Thursday:

“It’s going to be a tough one for us. They are (Fleetwood) pushing for automatic promotion and they come here in real good form. “Uwe’s got them playing really well and they have a lot of pace up front – it’s going to be a tough game

.”
