The match officials for Monday’s fixture against Bradford City have been announced.

Andy Haines is the referee for Fleetwood Town’s first game in 2018, which is against the Bantams at Highbury Stadium.

This season, Haines has refereed 24 games, with 9 of those being Sky Bet League One fixtures. So far, he has handed out 74 yellow and four red cards. On average, he has given 3.1 yellows and 0.19 red cards per game.

The Cod Army may be familiar with the Englishman, as he took charge of Town’s 2-0 loss to Wigan Athletic earlier this season, where Nick Powell and Dan Burn’s goals made the difference.

Haines is yet to officiate one of Bradford’s games this season, but overlooked three last season. The first was their 2-1 win at MK Dons in August 2016, the next was their 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers. The final game was another draw, which ended one apiece between them and Bury. That game was the only one Haines refereed last season in which he didn’t brandish a card.

The referee will be assisted by Michael Denton and Chris Isherwood, with Mark Cunliffe acting as fourth official.
