Rosler takes positives from Bristol Rovers defeat

26 August 2017

Fleetwood Town head coach Uwe Rosler says he will take the positives from Saturday’s defeat at Bristol Rovers.

Rosler’s side trailed by two goals at the break, but responded brilliantly in the second half with Devante Cole scored his fourth goal in three games.

However, a late goal against the run of play by Ellis Harrison condemned the Cod Army to their first league defeat of the season.

“I am disappointed about the result but not disappointed about the performance,” said Rosler.

“There are a lot of positives to take out of this game, especially how we chased the game in the second half.

“We were absolutely in control in the second half.

“I think we did everything we could in the second half. We dominated the ball.”

The German reserved praise for substitute Ashley Hunter who made a big impact after coming on at half-time.

Rosler added: “Ashley Hunter helped us very much.”

“He has shown that in the last game against Wimbledon, he has shown that in development games too and today we see the good Ashley Hunter and that makes me very happy.”
