Two-goal hero Devante Cole says he is delighted after scoring both in Fleetwood Town’s victory over AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

Cole scored once in each half to ensure Uwe Rosler’s side made it three wins from three in Sky Bet League One.

Fresh from coming off the bench last Saturday to score the winner against Northampton, the 22-year-old is well underway for the season.

“It’s been a good start for me. I’ve now got three goals in two so I just need to carry that on,” said Cole.

“I’m hopefully now going to be in the team playing and scoring goals. I’m in a good place now and I want to carry that on.

“In the first half we were good, we did everything the manager wanted us to. We kept them in against the wind and did well, obviously I got the goal in the first half too which I’m delighted with.

“I just thought once I shifted it onto my right foot, it was like I do in training and I felt like it was going to go in. The second goal was even better than in the first half. I was really happy with that.

“We’ve got three wins, three clean sheets and nine points. So for now we can’t ask for much more than that.”
