Town boss reacts to Rochdale loss

Head Coach Uwe Rosler was less-than-happy after suffering a narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of Rochdale at Crown Oil Arena.

Bobby Grant pulled the Cod Army level midway through the first half after Matty Lund opened the scoring for the hosts. However, a late goal from Steven Davies sealed the points for the hosts.

But the Fleetwood boss admits his side were second best.

“At the end, I think they deserved to win,” said Rosler.

“I saw a side in the first half that I haven’t seen so far this season. The contrast between the first seven games and today was massive in the first half. The second half was much better.

“I was so surprised that we started the game that we did. Both my coaches told me how the warm-up was and I think when the warm-up is not how it should be, you take that into the game.”

The German revealed after the match that the squad will be at the training ground on Sunday to analyse the performance.

“We should sit down and take all the emotion out of the game by analysing the game in a professional manner with the players and coaches that we have tomorrow.

“I was particularly upset about a few things. I will see them all again tomorrow when we will watch the first half again.

“We have a good month ahead of us where there will be lots of opportunities, we will learn from this defeat and move on."
