Bobby Grant says Fleetwood Town need to ‘bounce back’ against Bradford City after Saturday’s 4-1 defeat to MK Dons in Sky Bet League One.

Grant scored his second in two matches for Town in the defeat to the Dons, but the former Rochdale man is targeting improvement against the Bantams on Tuesday night.

“We need to bounce back from today and that’s what we all know,” said Grant.

“We need to cut out the mistakes and put it right because Bradford’s a great venue to go and play but only if you win.

“We will look to put it right as best we can.”

A Ryan Colclough hat trick and one from Dean Bowditch condemned Uwe Rosler’s side to defeat on Saturday, and Grant is hopeful the whole team can improve against Bradford.

“It’s not just the back four it’s all 11 players on the pitch and we will aim to put it right on Tuesday.

“We have to learn as a team to cut the mistakes out because it was the same against Rochdale - two crosses into the box and two goals and we need to learn to stand up as a team and be together.

Grant scored his second goal in as many games today and he believes that he can add more goals from midfield.

“The manager told me to get forward more and start playing more of an attacking midfielder role and not a central midfielder.

“I tried to hit the target and luckily for me it’s gone in.

“I want to add more goals to my game to help the team but we need to start from a solid base and if I can chip in with a few more goals here and there then great.”
