Former player boss passes away
Fleetwood Town are saddened to learn of the passing of former player manager Dave Durie at the age of 85.
The Blackpool-born striker spent the majority of his career at the Seasiders before moving to Fleetwood Town as player manager in 1967.
He broke his leg in Fleetwood’s first ever game in the Northern Premier League in August 1968 away at Gainsborough Trinity, an injury which ended his playing career.
The club wishes to pass on its sincere condolences to Dave's family at this time.
