Before welcoming MK Dons on Saturday, we’ve delved deep into the archives to see if there are any connections between Fleetwood Town and the Dons. Here’s what we found:

Stuart Murdochmanaged MK Dons in 2004, having previously been manager of Wimbledon when the club first moved to Milton Keynes, and remained in charge until November of that year. He is now the Director of Football at Fleetwood.

played 14 games for the Dons, on loan from Manchester City. He scored 3 goals before signing for Barnsley.  He signed for the Cod Army in this summer and has featured heavily in Uwe Rosler’s first team at Highbury Stadium.Devante ColeStriker

Tom Hitchcockis another player to have played for both clubs. He signed for MK Dons in the summer of 2014 and spent two years at the club, but in the process was loaned out to the Fylde coast. He played six games, and scored his only goal within three minutes of his debut, a 1-0 win over Gillingham.
