1.     Peterborough United are nicknamed "The Posh", after Pat Tirrell, manager of Fletton United, was reported to say he was "Looking for posh players for a posh new team."

2.     Victoria Beckham field a claim to the UK Patent Office over Peterborough’s nickname, The Posh, claiming the word ‘posh’ was ‘synonymous with her worldwide image.’

3.     Striker Adil Nabi became the first British based player to be transferred to the Indian Premier League when West Bromwich Albion loaned him to Delhi Dynamos.

4.     They won the EFL Trophy in 2014, beating Chesterfield 3-1 at Wembley.

5.     In the 2010-11 season, Peterborough conceded 75 goals in their 46 matches, more than any other club in the division – but still finished 4th and gained promotion via the play-offs.

6.     That same season, the Posh scored 106 goals, more than any other club in the top four divisions.

7.     The £8m fee received for Britt Assombalonga in 2014 from Nottingham Forest is the highest they’ve ever received for a player.

8.     The Posh spent seven seasons in the 3rd Division in 1960 before being relegated, being deducted 19 points for illegal payments to players, a record which stood until Luton lost 30 points in one season eight years ago

9.     The Posh reached the quarter final of the FA Cup in 1965, beating Swansea and Arsenal on the way, before losing out to Chelsea.

10. Cambridge United are considered the clubs main rivals.
