Highbury to host Rangers legends match

HIGHBURY TO HOST RANGERS LEGENDS GAME

Fleetwood Town can today confirm we are hosting Rangers Legends v England legends at Highbury Stadium on Saturday 25thMarch 2017 (2pm kick-off). The game has been organised to raise funds for former Rangers defender Fernando Ricksen’s MND foundation.

How to book tickets

 

at the club shop/ticket office in person, and online atTuesday 8th November 10amTickets will go on sale on www.ftfcstore.comwhere supporters can register and purchase up to a maximum of 10 tickets per person.

 

We would recommend fans not able to buy tickets in person to use the online option as we are expect high demand for these tickets. Segregation will be in operation for this fixture with Rangers fans allocated both terraces being the Percy Ronson and The Memorial Stands and seating in the Highbury and the home sections of the Parkside Stand.

 

Note: Booking fees apply of £1.50 per transaction (Max 10 tickets per transaction) will apply to online and telephone sales. A £1.00 postage fee will also apply per transaction (Max 10 tickets per transaction)

 

Stan Gordon, a long standing organiser of the legends games for the Blues is looking forward to the fixture.

 

“It is a great privilege to be organising the charity match at Fleetwood Town’s Highbury Stadium. The charity we will be raising money for the Fernando Ricksen MND Foundation. Over the last few years I have become a very close friend of his. The Glasgow Rangers fans have been amazing, every time we have an event or a game for Fernando they turn up in there thousands.”

 

“This will be the first Rangers legends game for MND Foundation in England. I don't think we could have picked a better location and the fans are really looking forward to visiting the Fylde Coast for the weekend.  Both squads have some of the best known players in Scotland and England, I know this will be a special day for Fernando and a number of his former team mates and the supporters.”

 

Martin Booker, Head of Commercial at Fleetwood Town said: “We thank the organisers of the Rangers Legends for agreeing to host this game at Highbury Stadium. We are looking forward to hosting the game. We are fully expecting the fixture to be a sell-out affair with some big names appearing for both Rangers and England on the day on a weekend where it’s a scheduled international break. Tickets will be in high demand.”

 

Fleetwood Town are playing away at Bury in Sky Bet League One action on the same day.
