Everything you need to know ahead of Town’s Checkatrade Trophy fixture against Carlisle United...

Fleetwood will be heading for their third consecutive away game when they travel north to face Carlisle United in the EFL Checkatrade Trophy on Wednesday night.

Recent form

Uwe Rosler’s men drew their last fixture 0-0 against Southport on Monday, when they met in the First Round proper of the Emirates FA Cup.

The Cod Army have won two out of their five games with one draw and two defeats in all competitions.

Town currently sit third in the EFL Group D table, having won one and lost one. Both Town and Oldham have the same points, but difference puts Fleetwood third in the group.

Carlisle have won both their Checkatrade Trophy matches and are top of the table, with six points, and haven’t lost once in the league all season. They are currently second in the Sky Bet League Two, with eight wins and seven draws and safely progressed to the next round of the Emirates FA Cup with an entertaining 5-3 win over St Albans on Sunday.

Key men to watch

Jason Kennedy is the clubs top goal scorer this season, with seven in all competitions, even though he’s a midfielder. He’s never scored more than this in a full season and is in top form at the moment, so he will be definitely looking to add to his tally.

Captain Danny Grainger holds joint second place in the clubs overall goal scoring tally, with 5, and has also grabbed himself three assists. He too isn’t a striker, as Grainger plays left back, and with tons of experience he holds a crucial place in the squad.

Ticket information

Tickets for the match can only be purchased from the Carlisle United ticket office at the ground.
