Full-back offers thoughts ahead of third home game in eight days

Free scoring left-back Amari’i Bell spoke to the media ahead of Tuesday’s Sky Bet League One fixture with Shrewsbury Town at Highbury Stadium.

On scoring two goals in two games…

“I’m feeling over the moon. To get the second goal was very pleasing for myself and I want to continue that form. The win was good as well so hopefully we can get that again tomorrow.”

On playing left wing-back in a 3-5-2 formation…

“I really enjoy playing there. I’ve played their previously, so I know the role a little bit. It’s always good to play in the role again, so I can understand it more. I like to get forward more as well which I like doing, so I really like playing there.”

On coming up against Sarcevic, after the midfielder left Fleetwood at the end of last season…

“Yeah, it was nice to know him. He’s a good player who has good energy about him so it will be a tough battle but I think if we play the way we can, then we’ll be able to deal with that.”

On playing Shrewsbury at least three times before the first week of January…

“We know it’s not going to be an easy game. We need to be right at it from the get-go. They are not doing too well in the table, but we know that every game is tough in this league. So yes, we need to make sure we are at it and that we as players do our best and win each time.”

On being two points off the play-offs…

“Me personally, I try not to look at the table too much as I just try to concentrate on the next game that comes. It is quite good that we are near the play-offs, but we need to make sure that we focus on each game as it comes.
