Vote for David Ball to win the Mitre goal of the year award

Vote for Fleetwood Town’s David Ball to win the Mitre goal of the year award for 2015 as he was shortlisted in the top ten on Saturday night.

Ball’s goal came in front of the live Sky cameras in a 1-1 draw against local rivals Preston North End at Highbury last March, where he lobbed keeper Sam Johnstone from 20 yards.

Each Football League club were invited to submit their best strike of 2015 as part of the competition, with Football League Tonight revealing the top then goals on last night’s show.

Voting closes at midday on Friday 1st April when the ten goals will be whittled down to five remaining contenders.

The overall winner will then be decided on the night at the 2016 Football League Awards. This year marks the 11th anniversary of the event, which takes place at Manchester Central on 17th April.
