Site foreman Mark Green was presented with a signed shirt

Parkinson Building Contractors have today officially handed Poolfoot Farm training complex over to Fleetwood Town Football Club.

Site foreman Mark Green, who has been working at the venue for two years, was presented with a signed shirt by the players and management staff this morning.

Mark, an avid Burnley supporter and now a member of the Cod Army, is also leaving Parkinson’s  today after 22 years with the contractors.

He said: “It’s certainly been an interesting journey as I’ve been here for two years. When I turned up on day one it was just farmland.

“It’s been a challenge for sure but it’s a rewarding one when you see it in the fantastic state that it’s in at this moment in time.

“Every job that we do is something to be proud of, and the fact I’m really interested in football has given me an insight into the day to day running of a professional club.”
