Fans urged to come along to support Town's youngsters

Fleetwood Town’s development squad will play host to Burnley in a friendly fixture at Poolfoot Farm in Thornton on Friday afternoon (KO 1pm)

Barry Nicholson’s side drew 2-2 against Preston North End last time out, with Thomas Grant and Vamara Sanogo getting on the scoresheet.

Supporters are urged to come along to the Club’s training ground at the end of the week to support Town’s youngsters against the Clarets.

Nicholson said: “Friday is another opportunity for the fans to come and watch the players at the new training ground, and when it’s finally completed it’ll be even better for them.

“It’s another good test for us and it will be a young team we’ll have out given the first team have a game the following day.

“We’ve obviously played the likes of Burnley and Preston quite a few times already, and they’re good sides who offer us tough fixtures.

“It’s a good chance for us to see where we’re at because we’ll have lads who are pushing for contracts and trying to catch the manager’s eye.”
