Will Watt and Sam Gilliland join the Club

Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the appointment of Will Watt as the club’s new Head of Communications.

Will, who has spent the last 11 years at the Blackpool Gazette, brings a wealth of experience to the club’s communications department.

He will assume responsibility for the club’s communication strategy, public relations and will be the key spokesperson and media contact.

Joining Will at Fleetwood is Sam Gilliland, who has been appointed the club’s Press Officer & Marketing Assistant. Sam has previously worked for the Cod Army’s media department before on a voluntary basis and was part of the press team that covered the Play-Off final at Wembley in 2014.  Sam has spent the last two years at Shrewsbury Town in a similar capacity.

Will and Sam replace former Media Manager Jonathon Swift and Media Executive James Edwards. Both Jonathon and James have moved on to pastures new and we thank them for all of their hard work during their time at the Club.
