Players arrive in Holland for pre-season tour

Cod Army get set for their European training camp

Fleetwood Town's players have arrived in Holland for their week-long tour.

Steven Pressley's men jetted out of Manchester Airport early this morning for their European training camp which includes three games, two against top-level Dutch opposition.

Town's 25-man squad, made up of first team players and a selection from the club's Development Squad, face Fortuna Sittard on Tuesday, before coming up against AZ Alkmaar the following day.

The tour will conclude on Saturday with Roda JC Kerkrade the final opposition and boss Pressley feels it will be an important part of his side's preparations.

"It's all part of the pre-season programme and the three games will allow us to build the players up from the Salford game where they played 45 minutes each," he explained.

"We will do a lot of work on the training ground, not only on fitness but a lot of other things like shape and set-pieces.

"From the players' point of view it allows them to bond and really develop the feel good factor we have around the group.

"We are really looking forward to the whole trip now."
