Striker opened the scoring for Town on the hour

Jamille Matt admitted there was a feeling of dejection in the dressing room after the Cod Army conceded in the last minute at Valley Parade this afternoon.

Matt started his first game since returning on loan from Stevenage, and found the net on the hour with an expertly directed header past Ben Williams.

James Hanson replied for the Bantams with a header inside the six yard box, before Steven Davies won the game in the final few moments.

Matt said: “There’s a feeling of dejection in the dressing room after the game because we were the better team throughout the game.

“It’s gutting to lose in the last minute so the lads are all disappointed, but we have to pick ourselves up because we’ve got another game on Thursday.

“I’ll always back myself to score goals given the chances, but like I say it means nothing because we didn’t win the game.

“We were on top for large parts and have to look for a way to win games rather than just play well. We have to get results.

“We have to take the positives from the fact we played well, but have tighten up at the back and see games out.”
