JPT Northern Area Final first leg at Oakwell this weekendFleetwood Town manager Steven Pressley has urged the Cod Army’s supporters to turn out in their numbers when they face Barnsley at Oakwell on Saturday afternoon.
Town are just two games away from a Wembley final appearance where they will face either Millwall or Oxford United, but must first get past Lee Johnson’s Tykes side over two legs.
And Pressley is hoping to see as many fans as possible make the trip from the Fylde Coast to South Yorkshire this weekend.
He said: “It’s obviously a very costly time of year for everybody after the festive period, but we’ve been really encouraged by the numbers we’ve had at home.
“We’d urge them all to try and get behind the players at Barnsley this Saturday as it’d be a terrific boost for everybody if we arrived there and saw a really good backing.
“The group in general are very confident at this moment in time and are all certainly looking forward to the game this weekend.
“It’s a very positive and pleasant distraction from league business as we’re only two games away from playing at Wembley. It’s a massive opportunity for us.
“The draw was obviously kind to us in the respect that the second leg is at home, and we certainly want to give ourselves the best chance by giving the right performance.
“Nothing will be decided on Saturday but we can certainly put ourselves in a good position with a positive result at Oakwell.”
Tickets are only £5 for all supporters in every area of the ground should they be bought in advance, and will rise to £10 at the turnstiles on the day of the game.
The Club have been delighted with the take up on travel so far and are looking to take more subject to demand, so supporters are encouraged to book their places as soon as possible.
The Club's remaining coaches will leave Highbury at 11.30am. The coaches cost just £8 for ST holders and U16’s, while non ST holders will have to pay £16.
