Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce that striker David Henen has extended his loan from Everton until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old Belgian has impressed during his time at Highbury Stadium, and he will now remain with the Cod Army until May.

Henen, who is currently out injured with an ankle injury, will receive treatment at his parent club Everton, and will return to Highbury Stadium when he is fully fit in a couple of weeks time.

Manager Steven Pressley said: “I am delighted we have extended David’s loan until the end of the season. It is a really important signing for the Club and he very much fits the profile of us.

“He is a young hungry player and he has impressed during his time here so far. David brings that all important speed that I have spoken about.

“We have been really impressed with him, not just in his play but his character too.

“David picked up an injury at Shrewsbury Town on Boxing Day. He will receive treatment at Everton and will return to the Club in a couple of weeks when he is fully fit.”
