Alex Kiwomya joins on a one month loan

Fleetwood Town have agreed to sign Chelsea forward Alex Kiwomya on loan until 20th February.

The 19-year-old, who has been capped at numerous age levels by England, will go straight into Steven Pressley’s squad for this weekend’s game against Doncaster Rovers.

Kiwomya, who spent time on loan at Barnsley last season, will be available for seven first team fixtures, including the League One clash at home to Scunthorpe United on Saturday 20th February.

Manager Steven Pressley said: “We are going into a really busy schedule of games and we are a bit short in terms of numbers in certain positions.

“He is a very quick attacking wide player and he gives us good flexibility in that area. We are really happy to get Alex on board.

“He is a player with high potential and he fits the type of profile that we are looking for. We have to bring players in that are different to what we already have and he is certainly different.

“He gives us a different dimension to our game. It is good that Alex has had experience in League One so he understands the environment he is coming into. We are delighted to have him on board.”
