Simpson to officiate Gills game at Highbury on Tuesday

His last Town fixture was the 2-1 win over Millwall in November

Jeremy Simpson has been appointed as the match official for Fleetwood Town’s Sky Bet League One fixture against promotion chasing Gillingham at Highbury on Tuesday night.

The Lancashire based referee has overseen 25 games to date so far this season, brandishing 90 yellow cards along with five red ones.

Simpson last officiated a Cod Army match on Tuesday 24th November 2015  when Town beat Millwall 2-1 at Highbury.

His last game that he refereed was the Sky Bet Championship stalemate between Bolton Wanderers and Queens Park Rangers, which finished 1-1 at the Macron Stadium on Saturday 20th February.

Assisting Mr Simpson will be Michael Hanley and Ken Haycock, while Nick Greenhalgh is the fourth official.
