Town host Barnsley in the JPT area final on Thursday night

A win is all that matters to Town boss Steven Pressley when his side meets Barnsley in the JPT Northern Area final second leg on Thursday night.

The Cod Army are only 90 minutes away from Wembley, and know a win against the Tykes would book a date at the home of English football on April 3rd.

Having drawn the first leg 1-1 at Oakwell last month, the tie is evenly poised and Pressley is hoping the players will rise to the occasion in front of the live Sky Sports cameras.

Ahead of the game, he said: “They are a good side but we have nothing to fear. They are the form team in the division at this moment in time but that doesn’t concern me.

“There hasn’t been a team we’ve played where I’ve felt we haven’t dominated the game. I don’t want any hard luck stories on Thursday, I don’t want another really good performance, I want a win!

“I want to be waking on Friday with the prospect of going to Wembley in April. I have got some big decisions to make in terms of the team.

“We can only name five substitutes and we have to get those right and cup times can often come down to those decisions.

“We have to consider every aspect of the game but I have got a good feeling. There is a real desire within the group to put things right on Thursday.

“I don’t want to be turning on Sky in April and watching the cup final with ourselves not involved thinking if only.

“We have a real opportunity in front of our home supporters to win a game of football and if we do that we go to Wembley. We cannot let ourselves down.

“There will be no excuses if we don’t win, we have to win the game!”
