Head Coach speaks as Town look for eighth straight home win

Uwe Rosler says his side will give Bury the ‘respect they deserve’ ahead of the sides match on Boxing Day.

Fleetwood will be looking for an eighth straight win at Highbury, whilst Bury have lost their last 12 Sky Bet League One fixtures.

“We are taking every game as it comes,” said Rosler.

“Bury is a very difficult game – lately with their results and our results it doesn’t count for anything. Every game starts on zero and they have good players. In September, they were leading the league and I saw them live against Peterborough when we preparing for our game with Peterborough.

“When they get it right, they have a very capable squad but I’m pretty surprised where they are, but we can’t get carried away by their league position.

“It will be a very tough game at home for us. We need to focus on our strength, but we will give the opposition the respect they deserve.”

The German also spoke in his pre-match press conference about how pleased he was with collecting a valuable point last time out at Swindon Town.

“I think it was a good point,” Rosler added.

“Considering the squad we had to choose from, in the game we had period where we played well and periods where we had to dig deep and got pushed back. Overall, I think it was a fair result.

“We had chances, they had chances and obviously they had the penalty situation but we hit the bar in the second half and had a ball cleared off the line. It was a point I can live with and stopped the rot away from home.

“We’re starting to get points, hopefully in the future it will now and then be three points.”
