Students quiz Uwe and Nathan before Emirates FA Cup tie

Uwe Rosler was faced with a tricky crowd for his pre-match press conference on Thursday, 250 students from Fleetwood High School!

The Fleetwood Town Head Coach was joined by skipper Nathan Pond for a special trip to the school on Thursday, as part of his press commitments ahead of Saturday's Emirates FA Cup Second Round tie at Shrewsbury Town.

Sky Sports News covered the event, as well as members of the local press, and overall it was a huge success.

"It's great to get out into the community and meet the fans," explained Pond.

"We are aware how important we can be to the town of Fleetwood and it was great to come to the area's biggest high school and meet some of the kids.

"Hopefully we'll be able to call on their support for the rest of the season."

Around 400 tickets were handed out by the club for upcoming games, in the hope of embracing the next generation of Town supporters.

Town's Head of Communications, Will Watt, explained: "A link with the local high schools is something we are keen on developing.

"It was great to continue our excellent relationship with Fleetwood High and credit must go to the school's Head Richard Barnes for making it happen.

"Hopefully it's the start of many events in the future."
