Peterborough born official to ref match at County Ground

The match officials for Saturday’s Sky Bet League One fixture with Swindon Town have been announced.

Darren Deadman has been named as the referee, with Joe Clark and Dean Treleaven his assistants. Neil Radford will be the fourth official.

Deadman has officiated 24 games already this season, across Sky Bet League’s One and Two, and the EFL Cup and Checkatrade Trophy. He has awarded 85 yellow cards and five red cards, with two coming in one game when he sent off Jim O’Brien and Abu Ogogo for Shrewsbury as they lost 2-1 at Sheffield United last month.

The last Fleetwood game Mr Deadman oversaw was the famous 2-1 win over Sheffield United in March last year. Josh Morris and Nick Haughton scored in the first half, with Matt Done pulling one back for the Blades.

Town’s Chris Maxwell, Stephen Crainey, Stewart Murdoch and Morris were all booked that day.
