Club make senior appointment
Fleetwood Town can confirm the appointment of Luis de Oleza as the club’s Sports Law Adviser.
The 26-year-old has spent the last six months working with the club following his graduation from the instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia (“ISDE”) in Madrid.
And we are delighted to confirm his appointment on a full-time basis, where he’ll be responsible for club compliance with all regulatory matters, such as EFL & FA Rules & Regulations, EPPP Rules, and FIFA Regulations, and working on improving the processes across the business in all of the above areas.
The Spaniard, born and raised in Mallorca, has a Masters Degree in International Sports Law and is Fluent in English, Spanish and understanding of Catalan.
Not only is Luis a graduate of the esteemed university, he also won the award for sports law achievement shortly before leaving for Fleetwood, for which he was selected from a pool of 26 candidates from across the globe.
On his appointment, Oleza said: "I am delighted to join Fleetwood Town on a permanent basis. I look forward to working with Steve Curwood and Gretar Steinsson and would like to thank everyone at the club for making me feel so welcome over the last six months."
