Head Coach feels ready for Saturday's big kick-off

Uwe Rosler insists his Fleetwood Town side are ready for Saturday's big kick-off at Northampton, despite having just a week to prepare.

The Head Coach has spent the week working with his new group of players in an attempt to stamp his style of play ahead of the weekend.

The Cod Army will set-off to Northampton on Friday morning before training in the Midlands in the afternoon as Rosler looks to use every minute available to him.

And despite the timescale, he insists his squad will be ready.

"I think we are prepared. It was a very busy week but the players helped me a lot,” said the Head Coach.

"The current staff have also been very helpful to me, giving me valuable information about the players – their strengths and weaknesses and performance levels and what I can expect from certain players.

"It was very valuable information for me. I feel prepared. I know what we will face.

"It is now up to us to stand up and focus on our game, coping with the physicality of League One football, especially from a physical Northampton team, and then play our football, be brave to attack, be brave to go to Northampton and think in the mindset of winning.

"I think that will take us a long way."

Since leaving Leeds last year, Rosler has been watching games at all levels of the EFL, meaning he’ll be more than aware of what’s to come from Rob Page’s side on Saturday.

He said: “I know the manager, I know how he played at Port Vale, I went quite a bit over there and watched his team, so I think he’ll put his style on the Northampton team.

“We are aware of their strengths and areas we can hurt them, they are a newly promoted team have momentum going for them, they have made some good signings and will want to start off with a victory, but we have talent in our team, and on our day can beat anybody in the league. We are up for the fight, the direct style and the duels."
