Windmill nursery visit Poolfoot Farm

27 April 2016

Community Trust delivered their fun football sessions

Windmill Nursery visited Fleetwood Town’s Poolfoot Farm training ground this morning for fun football sessions on the full size 4G pitch.

The Community Trust deliver sessions to Windmill Nursery on a weekly basis, which focus on balance, coordination, agility and gaining confidence.

In total, the Trust deliver fun football sessions to 15 nurseries across the Wyre Borough, and interest continues to grow.

Jason Sharp, Sports Development Officer, said: “It was fantastic for us to have pre-school children with us at Poolfoot Farm this morning.

“Windmill Nursery is only a stone’s throw away from our base, so they walked to the training ground for their visit.

“We played some football games with the children on the 4G pitch and then had the opportunity to meet mascot Captain Cod!

“The children and staff know our coaches very well as we deliver regular sessions at their nursery every week.

“We are very lucky to be able to invite the children to our fantastic facility which is just on their doorstep.”
